Normal class today Nov 26
We will meet at MC at 5. By the end of the day, the following tasks need to be completed:
1. Post your final topic (the topic of your final paper) on your blog and add a few sentences why you chose it.
2. Review all interviews two and three and fill out and post the evaluation sheets from round one. Tell me your numbers one to three and why you rated these interviews best (for both interviews in separate evaluation documents)
3. Once these two tasks are completed, provide an outline of your final paper. What will the introduction contain? What is the thematic statement? How will you organize the body of text and what will the conclusions say. Also list the current books, articles, or on-line resources you have already found. Remember how we listed the book resources a few weeks ago? That's the format.

Monday November 19th - conferences with students in Lawrence Hall 116
This week we will complete the conferences. Next week, the 26th will be a normal meeting day in MC. There are three meetings before the final. The final will be just a debriefing that will last an hour. The three meetings before are dedicated to your final project. I need the topic and theme on the 26th. I will then ask you to post an outline and drafts of the paper in the following weeks. The completed research paper (or final project) is due on Monday of final's week, Dec 17 at noon on your blog.
Use the time until the 26th to review and rate interviews two and three of your classmates. Post the results using the template from the first review.

homework, calendar items, change of meeting day for those who were scheduled nov. 12
...all students from the nov 12 meeting will meet me on Nov 19 instead. I just learned that the 12th is a holiday - Nov 12 meetings moved by 1 week - same hours as shown.
I need to see students only one time. As soon as you have met with me, we are done with that.
The class will meet again on Nov. 26, then on Dec 3 and 10. We will use these meetings to work on the research papers. Be sure to review all student interviews by Nov. 26. Post your reviews of student interviews as you did for interview one. The reviews of interviews two and three are graded work that needs to be posted. Always explain your choice of the three top interviews.
